Edwards Family First Science Fair Experience
Madison just made 9 and shortly after her birthday, we have a typical school evening sort of day. As I am going through her folder, I pull out the Science Fair Packet. I immediately have a flashback of all of the horrible projects I did over my school career. I immediately let Madison know, she needs to consult her mom on this one, dad is officially out of his realm of expertise lol.
We toiled over which science experiment would be the most fun and engaging and finally Madison decided to go with “What Affect Does Liquids Have On Bones?” My big girl watched YouTube video after YouTube video, asked a ton of questions, and made it happen. The Science Fair Experience was a very stressful one for the entire family.
In the midst of it all, my baby was able to gain a deeper understanding about nutrition. At home we don’t drink any pop or milk, and as a person who grew up drinking a ton of both, I can only imagine the type of delectable frustration she is going through. Today she was extremely emotional that both me and her mom not able to attend their classroom science fair. It broke my heart to tell her I couldn’t make it and to see her start balling because my presence is important to her. Well I’m here to tell you that my baby girl mustered up some courage, and she showed up and showed out, earning her way to participate in the SCHOOL WIDE SCIENCE FAIR!!!!!
